About the Project
The PhD research will address critical challenges in the certification of ESG credits, enabling transparency and trust in financial markets and empowering businesses to contribute to the ESG economy. Key research areas include:
AI and Large Language Models (LLMs): Integrating LLMs with decentralised oracles for real-time, static, and dynamic ESG data validation.
Data Infrastructure: Designing vector databases and scalable data warehouses to support AI-driven ESG applications.
Blockchain Integration: Applying AI for blockchain storage to streamline ESG credit validation and certification.
Industry Collaboration: Collaborating with EnviroLabs, leveraging their IoT and blockchain expertise to create real-world solutions.
The program includes a six-month industry placement with EnviroLabs, offering hands-on experience in solving real-world challenges at the intersection of AI, blockchain, and IoT.
Scholarship Benefits
This prestigious scholarship offers:
Stipend: AUD 40,500 per annum (tax-exempt) for 3.5 years.
Training Allowance: AUD 5,000 per annum for 3 years.
Travel Support: AUD 5,000+ over the course of the program.

Essential Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, or a related field with First Division 2nd Class Honours or higher (1st Class Honours preferred).
Solid understanding of machine learning principles and AI model development.
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and natural language processing (NLP).
Knowledge of blockchains and distributed systems.
Proficiency in Python and JavaScript, including frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Familiarity with DevOps tools, GitHub, and SQL management.
Strong teamwork and communication skills in English.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with data pipeline architectures and distributed systems.
Knowledge of integrating LLMs with APIs or external systems.
Familiarity with security, privacy fundamentals, and ESG market dynamics.
