About the Position

The International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Genome Science invites applications for multiple PhD positions (f/m/x) in experimental and computational disciplines. Our graduate program is a collaborative initiative between the University of Göttingen and renowned research institutions at the Göttingen Campus, including the Max Planck Institutes.

These fully funded positions offer exciting opportunities to contribute to groundbreaking research at the intersection of experimental life sciences and computational sciences. The program covers diverse research areas such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, bioimaging, bioinformatics, theoretical physics, and computational biology.

Eligibility Requirements
We are hiring highly motivated candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Hold an outstanding Master’s degree (or equivalent) in experimental life sciences (wet lab) or computational/mathematical/biophysical sciences.
  • Demonstrated interest in interdisciplinary research projects.
  • Strong academic skills, motivation, and creativity.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-quality research in your chosen area of genome science.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across the Göttingen Campus.
  • Present research findings at seminars and conferences.
  • Contribute to the vibrant research community at IMPRS for Genome Science.
