Position Overview
The research focuses on analyzing the work of data scientists and other key scientific professions in the context of digital capitalism, particularly exploring the role of AI applications and their influence on work processes, activities, and qualification requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with national and international research teams at HSU, the University of Duisburg-Essen, and the WZB Berlin Social Science Center.
Your Responsibilities
Actively participate in data collection and data analysis for ongoing research projects.
Prepare research presentations and contribute to academic publications.
Assist in teaching activities (3 trimester hours/week).
Engage in administrative tasks and contribute to the academic self-governance of the department.
Pursue further academic qualifications (e.g., doctoral research).
Eligibility Requirements
Education: A completed Master’s or equivalent degree in social sciences, ideally with a focus on sociology of work, technology, or globalization.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in empirical research methods.
Knowledge of industrial sociology, technology sociology, or qualitative social research.
Proficiency in English at a minimum C1 level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Strong interest in academic research and teaching.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
