Position Description

Eligibility Requirements

  • Education:
    • Preferred: MPhil or Research Master’s degree in Econometrics, Economics, or related fields.
    • Candidates with an MSc or MA degree must complete additional coursework at Tinbergen Institute or ERIM.
  • Academic Excellence:
    • Outstanding results in both bachelor’s and master’s programs.
    • Interest in and motivation for scientific research.
  • GRE Test:
    • High quantitative reasoning scores (minimum 160 Q).
  • Language Proficiency:
    • For non-native English speakers: TOEFL iBT (minimum score: 100) or IELTS (minimum score: 7.5).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong background in econometrics, statistics, or operations research.
    • Programming experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative research aligned with your selected topic.
  • Contribute to academic publications and conferences.
  • Collaborate with faculty and peers within the Econometric Institute.
  • Optionally, engage in teaching or research support activities.

    • Salary range: €2,901 - €3,707 gross/month (in accordance with CAO-NU).
    • Duration: 3 years (for MPhil or Research Master holders) or 4 years (for MSc holders).
